Welcome to the
Bergen City Church!

The Bergen City Church is a young, dynamic church with the aim of being a new church for a new generation. This affects how we communicate and what we emphasize — you’ll find our services filled with energetic music, straight-forward worship, a casual atmosphere and messages to equip you for living everyday life in discipleship of Jesus.

Church services

We have two services every Sunday - one at 4.30 pm and one at 7.30 pm.

At Minde
The service at Minde is in Kanalveien 90 at 4.30 pm. After the service we hope you’ll stop by the café for some food and meet some new people — if it’s your first time in our church, you are especially encouraged to stop by the Connect bar, where you can get a cup of exclusive coffee, chat with some of us, and ask us any questions you might have. English translation is available at the services — pick up a headset at the counter behind the sound desk!

In the city
The service in the city is at the student house called Kvarteret at 7.30 pm, Olav Kyrres gate 49. The church service is held in the room called Teglverket - you can enter from Olav Kyrres gate or from Håkonsgaten. We currently do not have translation via head sets in the city-service, but will be offering this soon.

LIFE groups

During the week we gather in the homes for LIFE groups, which consist of 6–10 people sharing life, faith and fellowship. We have an international student group at Fantoft, led by Espen and Jenny Eidsvåg, who also live there. If you want to know more about this, send an email to espeid[at]gmail.com. If you want to stay up to date on social events, you can receive SMS notifications in English by registering at 1963: Send an SMS with the text “bkinfo fantoft” to 1963. To unregister, send “bkinfo fantoft stopp”.

How to get to the Kanalveien-service at Minde

By Bybanen:
If you come by the city rail, get off at the stop called “Wergeland”. Go up the stairs to the road, and walk downwards towards the “Mix” kiosk. When you get to the “Mix”, turn left and walk downwards, straight across the parking lot, and through the opening in the fence. Follow around the building to the left, and you will see the entrance.

NB! For the evening events at the Fall Conference, turn right when you get through the fence and walk along the building to get to the main entrance with the big stairs. For the seminars, go to the entrance at the back of the building.

By car:
The address is Kanalveien 90, and the building is called “NRK”. There is also a sign that says “Kristkirken”. When you drive along Kanalveien, look for one of these names on a big building with a large staircase leading to the main entrance. There are plenty of parking spaces. If you have a pram, it’s probably easisest to walk or drive around the building on the left side, and come through the rear entrance.
